Work youll Do
As a Sr. Consultant within our Real Estate Location Strategy team, you will:
  • Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others
  • Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality
  • Identify additional ways to streamline service delivery and reduce costs by redefining service delivery through effective insourcing and outsourcing
  • Assist clients with streamlining real estate and facilities management service delivery to reduce costs, and improve performance by assessing and restructuring operating models, organizational structures, and business processes
  • Provides coaching to junior staff
  • Contributes to new business proposals and proposal development
  • Manages own personal and professional development; seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other business-related field
  • 3+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • Experience working independently with minimal guidance
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required Security Clearance for this role
Preferred:
  • Construction Management or General Contracting experience
  • Architectural or Engineering Design experience
  • Microsoft Project for project scheduling
  • Previous experience in applying a strategic framework to showcase a clients cost competitive position
  • Responsible for the overall management, coordination, and execution of assigned projects in support of a federal agencys 9+ million SF secure office portfolio.
  • Serve as a project/program technical expert supporting multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle: Requirements, Lease Acquisition, Design, Construction, Movein and Project Closeout.
  • Coordinate all project components including site selection, tenant improvement (build-out), furniture procurement, security, IT infrastructure (data/voice), and tenant relocation/moves.
  • Review and validate customer requests for facility/building construction, alteration, restoration and renovation. Advise clients on optimal real estate solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate external project communication with the General Services Administration (GSA), private Owners/Developers, A/E teams, and other service providers.
  • Successful candidate will have the proven ability to track project performance with regard to scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Assist Agency with the creation and management of project cost estimates to include: design, construction, IT/Telecom, Security, Furniture, etc. formulatingrealproperty and housing strategy and milestones. Update project financial budgets as needed.
  • Analyze Agency'srealproperty and/or asset management practices, including acquisition, operations, and disposal, and provide strategies for improvements in therealproperty lifecycle.
  • Evaluate client space management strategies and performance targets.
  • Assist in the development of Agencywide initiatives to improve the management and operations related torealproperty.
  • Develop verification procedures to ensure that the Agency's space utilization and asset inventory is tracked and reported accurately and effectively.
  • Occasional travel required (max 20%) to clients field offices to inspect and document existing conditions, meet with service providers and field personnel, and attend construction meetings and market surveys.
