About this job
Assumes total clinical management of specific patients in collaboration with the physician. Follows established standards, procedures and practices and gives specific patient management directions to nursing and other staff. Incumbents in this position may be required to perform all or a significant combination of duties depending on their specialty area.
EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing plus completion of an ANA accredited Nurse Practitioner Program is required.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE: One year experience.
CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION/LICENSURE: Licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the District of Columbia and Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nursing Association are required.
