  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and five years related experience including four years of supervisory/management experience and/or people development training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge base in advanced training methodologies, adult learning theory, and evaluation processes preferred.
  • Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff.
  • Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage staff, responsibilities and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed and possession of a valid personal credit card for reimbursement purposes is necessary.

The Training Manager is responsible for training, quality, and leadership development programs for the National Sales Center located in Tulsa.  This person will make strategic decisions regarding the best methods and practices to ensure the region meets or exceeds sales and customer service by producing properly trained employees.  In addition, the Training Manager is accountable for the leadership development of his/her staff and the management teams.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducts needs analysis studies and confers with business partners to determine training needs.
  • Works closely with regional management to coordinate and determine the most effective strategy for all training and leadership development needs.
  • Formulates training policies, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services.
  • Organizes and develops training programs, reference libraries, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Accountable for collecting and reviewing all reports and subsequently making training recommendations.
  • Maintains records and prepares reports to evaluate performance of direct reports and monitor progress of trainees. Provides immediate feedback during these evaluations.
