Job Summary

A Crew Leader is responsible for inspiring, leading, and monitoring team members within their assigned area on an ongoing basis in order to make Round Table Pizza every family’s first choice for a wonderful meal together. In order to achieve this goal, a Crew Leader is responsible for ensuring employees in their area are working as a team, behaving professionally and providing great service to our guests. By focusing their time around assigned shift duties and monitoring and coaching crew members on operational performance within their area during the shift, this can be accomplished. In this role, a Crew Leader is learning how to influence the restaurant and crew performance through learning and practicing high impact activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Building the Capability and Loyalty of the Team by:

  • Improving team skills and productivity of the crew members by monitoring and providing immediate feedback to ensure they are highly productive and properly executing Round Table Pizza operation and service standards
  • Reinforcing and executing restaurant routines and RTP operating standards such as training, cleaning, opening/closing, delivery, etc.
  • Reviewing the work delegated to others
  • Notifying the Manager of employee concerns and potential problems
  • Rewarding, recognizing and motivating the crew members
     

Increasing Guest Loyalty/Building Sales through:

  • Building guest relationships through professionally and immediately responding to guest needs and ensuring crew members are acting professionally and executing service standards at the highest level
  • Ensuring the product is made correctly and to RTP standards
  • Ensuring systems such as guest feedback program, guest complaint resolution process, service standards, etc. are executed according to company standards
  • Ensuring staff performs their assigned daily job duties correctly and productively
  • Ensuring consistent execution of promotions and marketing according to program specifications (POP installation and maintenance, bounce back distribution, suggestive selling, etc.)

Ensuring the Financial Health of the Business by:

  • Executing company initiatives effectively to meet or exceed restaurant goals
  • Executing daily systems to ensure the restaurant maximizes profit (production systems, accounting systems, etc.)

  • Executing daily routines outlined on the daily Shift Assignment Sheet

 

Leading peak and non-peak revenue periods in the restaurant by:

  • Being visible to guests and crew members in the areas they are assigned
  • Ensuring the restaurant is prepared for peak revenue periods
  • Continuously coaching crew members to provide excellent customer service and make the product with precision in the area they are assigned
  • Optimizing the efficiency of store operations within their assigned shift area by monitoring service times, training and coaching employees where needed and relieving bottlenecks
  • Performing assigned service and operational tasks at a high level

Job Requirements

Education/Experience

Progress toward a high school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent is preferred. Previous restaurant or team leader experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

Positive attitude, friendly and upbeat personality. Good interpersonal skills, including professionalism in dealing with team members and the public. Able to manage and perform multiple tasks. Able to work effectively within and contribute to a team environment. Able to lead, coach and be a mentor to others. Able to exercise sound judgment. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively. Able to work independently with little supervision. Able to perform and understand simple mathematical calculations. Computer skills required.

Physical

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to frequently stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Will occasionally have to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
