A successful Senior Financial Analyst candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Finance or related field with related work experience; MBA preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of financial statements, NPV and other discounted payback techniques and an understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint with some knowledge of database basics and ERP systems helpful (e.g. Microsoft Access, SQL, Oracle, Essbase/Hyperion, etc.)
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts (statistics, probabilities, algebraic expressions, etc.)
• Experience with or ability to work in a fast paced, high throughput environment with the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Well-developed oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts into understandable and easy-to-follow presentation materials

The Senior Financial Analyst position is in the In-Home Services (IHS) department, which provides customers with DISH installation and service visits through our nationwide corps of professional technicians.  The IHS FP&A group is responsible for strategic financial planning, annual budgeting, monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, forecasting operational and financial performance metrics; ad-hoc analyses related to revenue growth and cost-savings opportunities, capital expenditures, real estate development, and other corporate initiatives.  This role plays a key part in financial guidance for the department with regular opportunity for high visibility to leadership in the organization.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• Revenue and Profitability Assurance: Analysis and recommendations for sales and fulfilment opportunities, including developing pro-forma P&Ls, pricing analysis, incentives and development of pricing quotes
• Strategic Financial Planning: Involvement in the development of the annual budget model for IHS operations
• Financial Analysis: Review financial performance of internal and external service providers; provide recommendations and support to field managers and corporate executives; perform ad-hoc analyses related to cost-savings opportunities, capital expenditures, real estate development, and other corporate initiatives
• Financial and Operational Performance Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reporting package, including analysis of variances in actual performance to budget and operational key metric goals
• Forecasting: Build and maintain weekly and monthly forecasting models for key operational and financial performance metrics, including weekly and monthly KPI scorecards
