About this job
Maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient customer service. Perform all functions relating to the maintenance and proper food preparation of the Bar & Grill, hot case, cold case, fresh pack, and salad bar.
Will do the following principle duties and responsibilities:
- Successfully complete Prepared Foods learning checklists.
- All duties and responsibilities of Prepared Foods Team Member.
- Provide excellent customer service and regularly practice and model suggestive selling techniques.
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
- Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, and stocking product.
- Practice courteous and proper etiquette when answering phones and pages.
- Give timely customer feedback to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
- Comply with all applicable state health and safety codes.
- Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment.
- Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, recipes, and kitchen procedures.
- Support national, regional, and store programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, Supervisor, Buyer, Store Leadership and Prepared Foods Coordinator(s).
Must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities of Prepared Foods Team Member.
- Entry level position; some prepared foods or purchasing experience preferred.
- Ability to sell proactively and communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
Ability to operate all necessary equipment. - Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as required.
- Extensive knowledge of prepared foods product.
- Capable of teaching others in a constructive and positive manner.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Physical working conditions:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- In an 8 hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
