Cook (Part-time or Full-time)

Maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient customer service.  Perform all functions relating to the maintenance and proper food preparation of the Bar & Grill, hot case, cold case, fresh pack, and salad bar.

Will do the following principle duties and responsibilities:

1. Successfully complete Prepared Foods learning checklists. 
2. All duties and responsibilities of Prepared Foods Team Member.
3. Provide excellent customer service and regularly practice and model suggestive selling techniques.
4. Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
5. Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, and stocking product.
6. Practice courteous and proper etiquette when answering phones and pages.
7. Give timely customer feedback to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
8. Comply with all applicable state health and safety codes.
9. Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment.
10. Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
11. Maintain consistency in food quality, recipes, and kitchen procedures.
12. Support national, regional, and store programs.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, Supervisor, Buyer, Store Leadership and Prepared Foods Coordinator(s).

     

    Must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

1. Knowledge, skills, and abilities of Prepared Foods Team Member.
2. Entry level position; some prepared foods or purchasing experience preferred.
3. Ability to sell proactively and communicate effectively with customers.
4. Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
5. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
   Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
6. Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as required.
7. Extensive knowledge of prepared foods product.
8. Capable of teaching others in a constructive and positive manner.
9. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

    

   Physical working conditions:

1. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
2. In an 8 hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
