Chemist (3rd Shift) - Full-time / Part-time

We are currently hiring for a Chemist to work full time in a permanent opportunity in a Chemical Production Plant. If you are qualified and interested, please apply with a resume and updated contact information.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in the Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, ect.)
• 2-3 years of experience utilizing HPLC and GC
• Laboratory troubleshooting or supervisory experience is preferred

Hours: 11pm-7:30am (The work week will start at 11 pm on Sundays and end at 7:30am on Fridays)

Location: Webster City, IA

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform analytical and physical tests on formulated product.
• Set up equipment for testing and ensure accurate results. This includes a variety of laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, particle size detectors, viscometers, etc.
• Train and supervise lab personnel in proper analytical procedures. Ensure tests are performed properly and on a timely basis,
• Help develop and maintain procedures to comply with ISO 9000 and IS0 14000 standards.
• Follow and enforce company policies and safety regulations. Emphasizing the importance of safe work habits, including wearing necessary safety equipment and protecting the safety of co-workers.
• Work with an aim toward maximum productivity and the highest standard of quality. Search for ways to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Report ideas for cost savings to supervisor or other management personnel.
• Preparation of data to import into computer system to generate reports

Work Environment:

• Will be working in a laboratory setting within a large chemical production plant
• Will work with and supervise 6 laboratory technicians
