Accounts Payable Specialist

Actively seeking someone to join our Finance Team as an Accounts Payable Clerk.

Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities:

-Process payments in accordance with company policies
-Verify invoices, expense reports and payment requests have proper documentation and are in agreement with supporting documents prior to payment
-Reconcile, research and correct discrepancies of vendor statements, invoices and payment requests
-Maintain and analyze vendor accounts to keep records accurate and accounts in good standing
-Create and distribute monthly Accounts Payable reports.
-Communicate with internal staff, vendors, suppliers, and customers as needed.
-Classify and distribute incoming mail.
Prioritize invoices based on payment terms.
-Enter 650 to 800 Invoices and Expense reports into the Accounting System monthly.
-Prepare and process check payments, wire transfers and ACH payments.
-Assist in month end closing process.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
-Associates Degree in Accounting preferred but not required
-Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Previous experience assisting with an AP software conversion preferred but not required
