Aerotek is actively looking for candidates for a WEEKENDS ONLY Laboratory Technician position with a food manufacturer in Lafayette! Candidates will be working in the lab using hands-on lab techniques, testing products, documenting tests, and ensuring food safety.
Candidates will be expected to work independently. There will be minimal interactions or supervision from other employees in this group on weekends. This is a day shift role and could start at early as 7am.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain knowledge of food manufacturing, company, SOP, and FDA requirements.
- Support and assist the manufacturing team as needed in order to adhere to customer and product quality requirements.
- Work efficiently to meet activity goals and client expectations.
MUST HAVE:
- Completed lab classes in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Food Science.
- Ability and interest to work 16-20 hours every weekend for at least a year, if not longer
