The PT Cook position is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to venture it the culinary field.
Our most important function is preparing meals for the elderly. We do mostly scratch cooking with a high awareness to nutritional meals and are very label aware to any prepared foods we do use.
The qualifying candidates must be driven by the desire to be part of something special, our residents, not just the paycheck at the end of the week (that's what fast food places are for). We can teach a caring person a skill but we can't teach a skilled person to care.
You must be the type of person who is aware of their surroundings and take initiative to do what need be done at any given moment. We do not allow the "it's not my job" attitudes.
Some experience preferred, positive attitude and a drive to make the each day a little better then the one before are your most important qualifications. Both FT and PT, we try to alternate weekends, so some weekends are a must.
