Hiring for a candidate with an Engineering background to work with an Automotive company in the Lebanon area. This company is a Tier One supplier to the automotive industry and is preparing for growth.

Essential functions of the role will be to...

  • Manage all capital projects from start to finish
  • Manage contractors during plant expansions
  • Communicate and negotiate with equipment vendors
  • Facilitate moving existing equipment around the plant for more efficient and lean production (especially during shut down periods)
  • Ensure equipment is running properly and producing quality parts
  • Create PFMEAs and control plans
  • Create efficient manufacturing processes that meet KPIs (Key performance indicators)
  • Identify areas of improvement; lead or assist in Kaizen activities
  • Communicate and negotiate with OEM customers as needed on which manufacturing processes would be best to use
  • Coordinate and conduct proper operation and safety training for new equipment
  • Some travel to Mexico or Japan is needed only a few times a year, 1 week at a time, will be given notice

Qualifications:

  • Must have BS in Engineering (ME, IE, EE, etc)
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical and/or electrical skills
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Ability to communicate direct requirements with equipment manufactures and vendors
  • Ability to reach drawings and blue prints identify critical quality characteristics (machine parts)
  • Ability to assist with design reviews, PFMEA development and updating, and root cause analysis
  • MS Excel

Additional qualities that would make for an outstanding candidate:

  • Ability to open, review, and make light changes to drawings using AutoCAD
  • MS Office and MS Project
  • TPS experience
  • Background supplying to Toyota, Honda, Nissan, GM, and/or Ford
  • Previously worked in a cross-cultural work environment
  • Negotiation skills with customers (deadlines, processes)
  • Previous experience creating and presenting in front of large groups
  • Knowledge of TS and ISO
