Job Overview:

As a Virtual Learning Facilitator, you will be a Leadership/Business Ambassador; given the unique opportunity to facilitate highly interactive leadership/business courses to employees of Macy’s, Inc. Using Adobe Connect and other technology, you will partner with a Host and/or Subject Matter Expert to develop talent and drive results by delivering engaging, interactive learning experiences.

Perform other duties as assigned. This position is based out of Springdale, Ohio.

Essential Functions:

• Facilitate highly interactive learning experiences that drive business results by delivering innovative, engaging virtual sessions focused on elevating the performance of learners across the organization. Use effective questioning and listening techniques to guide participants to achieve higher level learning and insights, and reframing of perspectives that support the session learning objectives. Maintain self-discipline and neutrality when answering questions, comments or challenges. Exhibit credibility, confidence, enthusiasm and professionalism in the virtual classroom.
• Collaboratively partner with other facilitators, hosts and subject matter experts to practice and prepare for live facilitation. Consistently provide, receive and apply constructive feedback.
• Monitor effectiveness of each virtual session, using independent judgment and discretion to assess achievement of learning objectives. Communicate results and implement enhancements, as directed.
• Serve as thought leader to identify emerging virtual learning trends. Perform other duties and projects as required.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• BA/BS degree in Human Resource, Business or related field
• 3-5 years related experience in virtual facilitation, leading virtual meetings, or virtual facilitation in a corporate setting
• Experience in facilitating engaging and effective learning solutions in a virtual environment to maximize the transfer of knowledge and desire for skill development.
• Experience in Adobe Connect, Skype and other platforms that support participant-focused discussions.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

• Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Reasoning Ability:

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

• This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment.
• May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Other Skills:

• Ability to collaborate with the Virtual Team and internal clients at all levels in the organization to deliver quality learning.
• Possess retail business acumen; understand how stores operate and how roles work together
• Creative; open to new ideas
• Adaptable; team player
• Project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
