By joining the REM Hennepin team as a Independent Living Support Specialist/Direct Support Professional, you will provide skill-building support one-on-one with individuals living independently in our communities.Our individuals served are developing the skills necessary to maintain their independence while living with special needs including intellectual and developmental disabilities, severe and persistent mental health, and complex medical needs. You will work alongside the individual leading them to achieve the highest quality of life and highest level of independence possible.
REM Hennepin's Periodic Services Team offers hourly supportive services designed to meet the unique needs of each individual. Supports may include daily living skills such as meal preparation and planning, general budgeting, housekeeping, medical appointment tracking, positive social interactions, and community engagement. Independent Living Support Specialists/ Direct Support Professionals work as part of a remote team of professionals all acting to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
