The Opportunity

This is a full-time, year-round position.  Candidate must be able to assist in the day to day operations of maintenance department.  Schedules will vary due to guest occupancy and events.

If you have previous experience in a general maintenance position, exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment, you have the potential for this unique opportunity.

 

Responsibilities

Performs manual labor related to the maintenance, care and improvement of resort; drives vehicles and operates equipment used for maintenance of resort; and performs related duties as required. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the resort through regular preventative maintenance programs and follow through of work orders. Exemplifies the 10 Universal Service Standards and provides excellent guest service as detailed in the GuestPath Service Standards.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Receives oral or written orders from Maintenance Manager

  2. Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule

  3. Performs touch up and finish painting

  4. Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs

  5. Replaces light bulbs

  6. Empties trash/recycling recepticles

  7. Sets up and tear down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms and function spaces as needed.

  8. Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms

  9. Clears snow from entrances and walkways

  10. Operate a snow-blowing machine.

  11. Perform janitorial work and to fire and maintain low-pressure boilers.

  12. Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks

  13. Operate chain saws to cut up debris and branches.

  14. Operate tractors on ground maintenance assignments.

  15. Drive vans, pickups and other smaller vehicles in connection with their work.

  16. Operate safety devices on aerial lifts.

  17. Assists in shipping and receiving

  18. Provides assistance to officials, staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary

  19. Respond to all guest requests within 20 minutes.

COMPETENCIES:           

Demonstrates an understanding of the appropriate work methods for the site and proper use of tools, machines, and equipment throughout the resort. Demonstrates the ability to follow safety practices and care-of-equipment procedures and has the physical ability to perform all required maintenance tasks.  Demonstrate the ability to make minor repairs to equipment, tools, buildings, and guest rooms.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to multi-task and prioritize all daily maintenance functions. Ability to lift at least 100 lbs, to be on your feel for extended periods of time and work in cramped areas. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed by the resort.
