Job Scope

Under limited supervision, responsible for engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's advanced video and signal processing hardware, software and electrical systems.Designs, implements, monitors, enhances and troubleshoots systems in assigned areas.Works closely with Headend operations staff on system design and configuration.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience planning deployments and upgrades (Hardware/Software)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience troubleshooting production issues
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience writing technical documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and experience
Additional Job Requirements
  • Experience gathering and analyzing data to optimize system health/performance
  • Experience developing new stream features and performing interoperability/regression testing
  • Experience acting as a point of escalation for troubleshooting production issues
  • Experience working with the following technologies; BASH, TCP and UDP, Video Encoding (MPEG2/4), HTTP Video Protocols (HLS, HSS, DASH)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within Telecommunications industry
