Designer - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description:

One of our client in the area is looking for a designer who is capable of helping them produce drawings for their customers. Individual will be responsible for receiving mathematical data and then complete assemblies using design software. Review designs and prints developed by others as an internal quality check.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Engineering/Design team to help provide quotes/bids for customers
• All work will be done in Solidworks/UG/Catia
• Majority of the bids/quotes should take about eight hours. Not overly complicated designs once they get up to speed. Some can be done in as few as four hours pending the complexity.
• Basically designing from a block of plastic to hold a part. Biggest challenge is to figure out how to provide structural integrity to the overall concept and to ensure the parts to not get dinged, scratched or damage during shipping

Job Qualifications:

• 5+ years designing in Solidworks/Catia/UGNX
• Ability to design from scratch
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret size of components
