Aerotek Construction is seeking an entry level to Junior Project Engineer for a position with our client, a successful Self-Perform General Contractor specializing in Heavy Highway and Bridge Construction throughout DC and Virginia. The Project Engineer will be working on heavy highway construction projects, where they are working on new projects and rehabilitation. The candidate will be performing quantity takeoffs, assisting with bidding on projects, doing purchase orders, and working with PMs/ Superintendents and subcontractors on site.
responsibilities for Project Engineer include:
40%- onsite with other vendors, subcontractors, and owners
40%- doing quantity take offs, RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and assisting with estimating
20%-assisting Project Manager/ Superintendent with project progression meetings
The successful Candidate for the position of Project Engineer will have:
-Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
-0 to 3 years of commercial construction experience
-Knowledge of CPM Scheduling either through experience or coursework
-Must have transportation to drive to project sites (will be reimbursed for mileage)
