Production Team Leader In Colfax, NC
This is a hands-on working position designed to help support our Staffmark team and customer. Working Team leaders spend the majority of their time on production work but have some additional tasks assigned to assist with the shift operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Assist with training new temporary employees by providing on the job training


Help with shift start ups and in processes


Assist coworkers with questions about the production work


Escalate challenges and problems to the customer's management team and Staffmark as needed


Helps to ensure work is performed accurately


Safety compliance- sets example


Understand production requirements and quotas


Provide effective communications and follow up to Staffmark and the customer's management team


Continuously monitors productivity to achieve desired cost per unit pricing goals on assigned shift or location.


Prints orders for employees to pick at beginning of shift and during shift


Operates gas, propane and electric powered forklifts.


Builds delivery pallets for customers and loads them unto delivery vehicle in proper order.


Audits and inspects pallets for accuracy before loading.


Required to switch trucks.

Required Competencies: • Good interpersonal skills, works well within a team environment • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills • Working knowledge and expertise of various jobs in assigned department • Meets and exceeds production and quality goals and standards • Works well under pressure and deadlines • Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of various programs Experience: • Defined based upon the work environment • Required 2-4 years of warehouse experience with previous direct supervision of production team members.
