Position:Machine Operator
Wage: $15.00/hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 11:00pm-7:00am (Sunday - Thursday)
QPS Employment Group, in partnership with Advanced Fiber Products, has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in La Crosse, WI. This is a temp to hire position for 3rd shift. Not only are we offering a great career opportunity, but we also offer a great place to work!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Keep the Pultrusion machine stocked with raw materials such as mats, rovings, surfacing veils and resin
- Monitor flow of material going into the product to avoid outages, knots and breakout of materials
- Read setup sheets to determine required materials, resin, machine speeds, quality requirements and suggestions to correct certain defects
- Read production orders and understand requirements
- Inspect quality during the product run, which may include product dimensions, color, straightness
(bowing), grooves, porosity, missing materials, bake marks, cracks and blisters
- Read measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers
- Set up and shut down product runs
- Operate the control panel and mechanical switches on the Pultrusion machine
- Maintain clean work area
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to use measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
