About this job

This position is responsible for performing initial and on-going collection and re-assessment of data focusing on biophysical, psychological, environmental, self-care education and discharge preparedness; developing, implementing and evaluating the care of assigned patients in surgery; practicing effective problem identification and resolution using clinical knowledge base and sound decision making skills; performing scrub and/or circulating duties; applying Dignity Health core values to the performance of every job duty. -- these Values include Dignity, Collaboration, Justice, Stewardship, and Excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of previous clinical experience within the past three (3) years in an Operating Room setting in an acute care hospital.Ortho/neuro surgery experience within the past five (5) years preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Successful completion of a post-graduate perioperative training program.
  • Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse. (RN)
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for healthcare providers
    (AHABLS)
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers preferred. (AHAACLS)
