BASIC PURPOSE: Support the preparation of the hotel payroll, ensuring proper accounting procedures are followed and timely, error-free paychecks are distributed. Be the primary backup for payroll submission in the absence of the ADOF. Help HR with payroll related issues to insure timely completion for payroll. Other Accounting and HR functions as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.         Ensure that missed punches are input in the system in a timely manner for accurate payroll reporting.

2.         Working with HR Coordinator to reconcile all vacation, sick, holiday or bereavement input on a weekly basis. Enter and keep track of all paid time off. Track and inform employees of available PTO when necessary. Help HR with PTO paperwork.

3.         Enter all tips into spreadsheets. 

4.         Input server's total sales receipts daily, make sure that tipped employees are claiming tips, and resolving any discrepancies.

5.         Daily S&P tracking/reporting.

6.         Assist with the preparation of the daily report as needed.

7.         Issue and record purchase orders once approved.

8.         Assist with processing of Accounts payable as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

            Education: High school education or equivalent experience

Experience: Hotel/Accounting background preferred, but not required. ADP Timesaver and Opera PMS experience preferred.

            Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate a personal computer, telephone and/or time clock. Telephone etiquette. Ability to compile facts and figures. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Hours Required: Typically Monday - Friday:  8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, one Sunday per period possible.

            Time will be split between Accounting and Human Resources. Scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
