Currently seeking a Production Supervisor for a fast paced manufacturing company in San Diego. Please see job description below:

SUMMARY: Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the productivity of a particular product line or group of products for one, several departments or the overall division, in order to satisfy customer requirements and maintain customer satisfaction. Executes the Production Manager's directions to meet the process and production goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for monitoring production levels to meet set production and shipment schedules. Interfaces with production management and production control staff to clarify and monitor shipment dates.
* Creates reports for managers on operator productivity, daily shipping schedules, yield, QA acceptance, or any other reports requested by managers in order to track customer service, quality, and efficiency issues.
* Follow up on work-in-process and delinquency reports, in order to track progress and locations of product lots.
* Responsible for coordinating work schedules for production employees, and working with managers to determine overtime requirements in order to meet shipment schedules.
* Responsible for reporting materials and equipment defects, malfunctions or mistakes to technicians and/or engineers. Works with engineers to prevent or minimize future issues.
* Assigns employees to particular work areas to maximize productivity and quality objectives.
* Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations and requirements.
* Directs and coordinates the activities of leads, operators and technicians including monitoring work performance, evaluation of performance and training needs on certain parts of their daily job tasks.
* Performs other related duties as required.
