Primary Responsibilities:

Assist Director in monitoring the daily functions of coding, DNFB, and workflow
Ensure proper workflow and billing of accounts
Daily monitoring of billing WIP and appropriate assignments to responsible parties
Reply to Patient Account inquiries
Monitor chart distribution to coders
Perform quarterly audits to monitor trends and accuracy
Reconcile the Flag list
Monitor analysis queue to keep workflow moving
Interact with physicians for delinquent charts
Performs monthly delinquent count
Assists in completing Physician Suspension
Understands and applies all processes and procedures of the HIM Department
Assists in all special projects and other areas as needed
 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

5 years experience in HIM Department
Knowledge of Horizon Patient Folder (EMR)
Organizational ability in scheduling workflow activities
Analytical ability
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Coding Certification
