BASIC PURPOSE: Maintain all fuel inventories at the store level by coordinating with the drivers.  

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Forecast truck stop fuel demand using highly sophisticated inventory replenishment/dispatch software (TelaPoint).
  • Monitors and analyzes scheduled delivery workload by determining availability of trucks; site storage restrictions; trailer compartment size options; supply point options; delivery time requirements; driver DOT availability; traffic and weather conditions, etc.
  • Facilitates near real time supply point changes by coordinating with supply department; maximize profit and minimize delivery disruptions by adjusting dispatch as needed.
  • Provides high level of customer service by adjusting planned dispatch to accommodate changes in operating environment such as terminal outages, ASAPs, cancellations, rolled loads, truck break down, etc.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years Fuel Dispatch and customer service preferred

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Ability to handle 75-100 inbound phone calls per day
    • Capable of managing 200+ emails per day
    • Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely high stress environment
    • Highly organized
    • Willingness/ability to accept continual training and constructive criticism
    • Basic Microsoft Windows / Office experience
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
