 The Southeast Region CFO reports to the E&I CFO and is the key finance business partner for the SE Region supporting the SE Regional CEO. Leads Three Market CFO’s and supporting 5 CEO's.Primary Responsibilities:

Drive regional and market strategies, budgets, execution of key initiatives, forecasts and recording of actual results
Partner with all corporate finance units to provide and drive preparation and dissemination of financial reporting to the Regional CEO team
Support the RCEO in understanding the financial results as well as developing, communicating and evaluating risks and opportunities in the region
Support the RCEO to design and drive the management oversight process of the region
Partner with the RCEO and market Health Plan Presidents to define and drive corrective action plans, operational initiatives and financial initiatives
Ensure a system of internal controls is in place within the region and make enhancements as needed
Provide comprehensive balanced advice on finance policies
Partner and influence senior leadership, inside and outside the organization
Manage and thoroughly monitor strategic projects that have an impact inside and outside of finance
Influence actions of peers inside and outside of finance
Mentor, motivate performance, manage and make employment and compensation decisions related to staff
Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and results through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff
 
Role could be located in any of the following UHG office locations: 
Orlando, Tampa, Miramar, Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans, Charlotte, Greensboro

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

BA/BS in finance, accounting or related field

10+ years of relevant financial and operational experience

5 or more years of management experience

3 or more years of experience in Healthcare Industry

Exceptional financial acumen and P&L management skills

Proven experience driving business performance in a high growth environment

Ability to anticipate accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational issues, assess their implications, determine their impact and develop and implement an appropriate action plan

Strong working knowledge of financial systems, statements and reports

Experience partnering with and leading and influencing multiple teams responsible for complex operations

Previous managerial and leadership experience of a broad spectrum of professional finance staff
