Responsibilities
  • Utilizes data to initiate cases of internal and external fraud, which are sent to the field personnel for further investigation. This role will utilize strong analytical skills to provide continued support during investigation through case closure.
  • Provide continued analytical support during investigation through case closure.
  • Utilizes multiple data sources to identify trends of fraudulent behavior.
  • Utilizes standard and ad-hoc exception reporting, analyzes store transaction data to identify patterns, trends and exceptions in the Point of Sale data.
  • Collaborates with field Investigators to validate fraudulent activity and bring the case to closure.
  • Train field staff to analyze data and conduct investigations more effectively.
  • Participate in special assignments with a shrink reduction and/or investigative focus.
  • Designs, develops and analyzes standard and ad-hoc reports, using multiple reporting systems as well as other company financial applications, databases or POS systems, to generate leads of fraudulent and dishonest activity.
  • Initiates quality case leads for investigation, providing actionable data and investigative support that will lead to successful case closures.
  • Makes recommendations to enhance systems and provide more effective reporting.
  • Develops and supports Loss Prevention initiatives which drive shortage reduction.
  • Develops relationships and partnerships with the field organization, other Home Office Departments and industry peers.
  • Participates in field LP staff coaching and creates investigative tools that will enhance the field organizations knowledge and productivity in all types of investigations.
  • Conducts training and provides support for exception reporting systems and related field requests.
  • Interacts with various levels of management and law enforcement to provide support on projects and investigations as needed.
  • Assists with other TJX and LP programs as needed.
  • Makes recommendations to senior management regarding procedural and business opportunities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills a necessity.
  • A flexible problem-solver, willing to take ownership of issues as they arise.
  • Ability to escalate issues and assist in resolving them.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong MS Office knowledge.
