The Digital Media Strategist will primarily lead Digital Media for DSNP (Dual Special Needs Plans) marketing activity. The role will oversee email, paid search, display, paid social, and online video campaigns and ensure alignment and integration with offline activity.

Primary Responsibilities:

70% Digital media management. Digital media includes search (paid and organic), paid social, online video and display. This responsibility includes not only executing the previously agreed upon plans, but also requires a high level of critical thinking skills in order to leverage unexpected opportunities as they arise, and the ability to communicate and justify any changes. The ability to evaluate and synthesize data is also a prerequisite for success given the complexity of our business and the number of stakeholders involved in the decision making process

Understand specific health plan and product performance, coverage, membership, and other marketing levers to properly plan and recommend impactful digital media engagement
Lead internal and external partners in planning and oversight of digital media campaigns (inclusive of goal -  setting and understanding key performance indicators)
Assure proper tracking, continuous testing, ongoing optimization of landing pages to reach various Cost -  per -  action goals and focus on performance insights that further inform strategy
Demonstrate marketing ROI and inform others of important trends and / or areas of improvement
Ensure compliance approvals are in place as contractually required by the respective product / plan
Manage other digital media campaign activity as required
20% Email marketing. Responsible for the day -  to -  day, hands -  on execution of acquisition / lead generation email efforts in support of business objectives. This includes ownership of the setup, maintenance, creation and review of reoccurring and triggered email communications. Additionally, maintain a current understanding of email marketing best practices and apply them in execution.

Scale email marketing program, with focus on increasing email DB and conversions
Coordinate with other stakeholders to create and manage email roadmap
Manage creation of email content, design, broadcasting and reporting through third party partnership
Partner with other team members to establish reliable Standard Operating Procedures that assure timely, high quality, compliant delivery for email efforts
Assure alignment of content and design with other channels (offline and online)
Ensure email campaigns meet legal, State, and (as needed) Federal requirements
10% General

Ability to turn insights into action
Educate stakeholders on the importance of digital and evangelize
Catalyst for digital transformation
Partner with marketing contacts to develop product knowledge, and understanding of brand strategies and consumer / persona insights, attitude and behavior
Recognize emerging digital technologies, approaches and strategies and assess how these opportunities will work (or might not make sense) for our business
Promoting cross functional focus on customer experience
Pursue knowledge of digital pilots, their costs and execution challenges
Build relationships with larger marketing team, agency and plan resources
Avoid unapproved, unacknowledged scope creep
 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
At least 4 years of Digital Marketing experience
Digital media experience
Agency or vendor management experience
Proficient in paid search strategy and optimization
Experience managing email programs (or marketing automation / CRM)
Robust analytics knowledge: tagging, custom reporting, interpretation
Proven record of challenging the status quo
Ability to influence without authority. Proven experience nurturing mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external partners
Well -  developed planning & execution capabilities
Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on driving disciplined, fact -  based decisions and executing with discipline and urgency
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or Master’s degree 
Project management experience
Health care industry experience
