Automation Personnel is Seeking: Assembly/Mechanic
Pay rate: 15.00 p/h
1st shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for finishing products prior to distribution. In-house training on the assembly process will be given, as well as the relevant training that will be required for non-factory installed equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Quality control on incoming inventory and document deficiencies and shortages so that credits can be requested from manufacturer.
Process Understanding: Is able to follow instructions, both written and oral.
Troubleshoots daily issues and determines the root cause of the problem. Initiates proper Problem Solving procedures in order to resolve the problem. Involves the appropriate departments.
Communicate in an appropriate manner to convey quality information to the required parties.
Able to learn and understand company product codes and terminology
Experience and Required Skills:
- Requires at least 3 years hands on experience in a Service or Assembly role with a leading US tractor brand, mainline construction/plant machinery service and distribution network
- Ability to read and write English to understand assembly direction, work order packets and safety instructions
- Strong technical background of agricultural machinery, especially tractors and front end loaders
- Experience with practical mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, electronic and electrical diagnostic skills
- Able to read wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Problem Solving: Ability to utilize problem solving skills and techniques to achieve problem resolution.
- Forklift certified: May operate forklift truck in slack periods
- Team Player / Teamwork: Must possess good interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to work with others efficiently and effectively either one-on-one, as a team or in a group.
- Personality: Must possess a positive attitude with self-motivation.
