Lead role may include review and verification of work of lower level employees.Primary Responsibilities:

Process Medical Billing
Provide Quality Assurance for Billing
Understanding specific account profiles
Provide expertise or general claims support by reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims
Authorize appropriate payment or refer claims to investigators for further review
Analyze and identify trends and provides reports as necessary
Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
Provide excellent customer service
Certified Professional Coder would be preferred for this position

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED OR 5+ years of Medical Claims Billing Experience
Proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
1+ years’ experience with Claims and / or Billing
Ability to work an 8 hour shift between 7:00am and 5:00pm EST
Assets:

Associate's Degree or (higher)
Previous data entry experience
Certified Coder Experience
Knowledge of medical coding
Experience with any Medical Billing software of any type
Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent typing skills
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Extended periods of sitting at a computer and use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse
Office environment
