AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions --- International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. Job Summary

AECOM has a great opportunity for a Bus Driver to support our program in Springfield, VA. The Bus Driver will transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule and regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort, complies with local traffic regulations. The Bus Driver performs a variety of minor repairs and services to maintain the motor vehicle fleet; will be responsible for tracking vehicle accidents, repairs, inspections, security, maintenance and replacements; submit daily deliverables to include, but not limited to accident, mileage, maintenance and cleaning reports; perform other duties when not driving such as washing, cleaning, and lubricating vehicles; loading, unloading automotive parts and supplies. The Bus Driver should assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle, secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip; may operate radio or similar device to communicate with the Dispatcher or other vehicles to report disruption of service. The selected candidate will work with Leads and Dispatch to schedule and replace minor assemblies and components; check oil and Washer fluid, wiper blades, power steering, etc; verify operational safety of equipment and devices such as brakes, clutch, lights, mirrors, glass, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, highway warning kits, horn, warning lights and buzzers, Emergency exits, wipers, signs, tires, etc.; change and repair tires, performs complete battery service; may fill antifreeze; service cooling systems; inspect hoses, caps, valves, etc., as required; make minor repairs by replacing lights; safely operates all tools and equipment required to perform the assigned duties; drive service vehicle for parts pickup and roadside service as required; assist in cleaning of vehicle fleet; maintain vehicle utilization reports and updates spreadsheets with accurate service records for vehicles as required; be responsible for key storage for primary and spare keys; conduct daily inspection of fleet, ensure proper preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on vehicles are being performed and maintain registration record; perform other duties as assigned; and support assigned shift during current operating hours 0430-2000 hrs.

Minimum Requirements

+ High school graduation or equivalent.

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.

+ Ability to operate a personal computer. (MS Excel, databases)

+ Ability to follow directions.

+ Ability to communicate with staff and drivers

+ Ability to get along well with co-workers.

+ Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Active, fully adjudicated TS/SCI w/poly is preferred.
