JOB SUMMARY

 

The Sr. Director of Store Operations is a member of the Operations Leadership Team and is primarily responsible for the successful development, communication and execution of a culture that delivers experience of a lifetime for our guests and employees. The Sr. Director leads and implements retail store strategy (long-term and short-term) in order to meet and exceed sales and profitability plans with specific focus on sales, people, and operations. He or She is responsible for retail sales and profitability plans and all budgetary matters (CapEx and OpEx).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactive member of the Leadership Team engaged in leading, directing and managing shared Company initiatives, planning and reporting
  • Ability to influence and effectively sell a point of view to diverse audiences of all levels, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and be assertive in driving successful management strategies while promoting high performance standards and attainment of goals.
  • Manage a division of the Store Operations team and provide leadership by creating a collaborative, innovative and results-oriented environment Balancing workload priorities across regions to ensure successful execution of goals
  • Build constructive and effective relationships with cross-functional business partners (ex. Mountain SLT, Merchants, Finance, Marketing, IT, HR,Risk & Safety) to define, develop and execute merchandising, marketing and operational strategies that drive market share and growth; as well as improve store efficiency and customer experience
  • Responsible for recruiting and maintaining a fully staffed retail field organization; as well as the on-going training and development of all direct reports. Develops and maintains a succession planning strategy 
  • Develop and deliver change management guidance and training to achieve organizational process integration and sustainability
  • Review financial and operational performance and recommend business shifts supported by action plans to drive sales, optimize payroll goals and improve bottom-line performance to achieve Company goals
  • Analyze business through key metrics and benchmarks and lead continuous improvement.  Work closely with field organization in the assessment of store performance
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and training for retail intelligence tools, reporting and business processes and drive proactive business adoption for maximized use and performance
  • Drive and execute strategy related to stores’ sales and profitability plan to meet or exceed sales revenue to budget
  • Create and manage annual operating budget and capital improvement (long- and short-term) budgets
  • Develop strategic roadmap and define long-term sustainable capabilities to drive proactive customer centric processes
  • Ensure alignment of Store Operations plans to Company objectives
  • Involved in comprehensive real estate strategy collaborating with peers in Retail Ops to optimize the business results and business strategy

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in the retail industry with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Exceptional track record for building a sales-driven organization in a growth-oriented retail company
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Products; Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
