About This Opportunity
This position is responsible for overall compliance to government regulations and Target standards on Target's Owned Brands food product packaging, in-store information and advertising. Primary Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) contact for labeling information on all Owned Brand food products. Provides technical regulatory guidance and consultation to the cross functional business teams.

- Provide regulatory expertise and guidance to product development, buyers, vendors, marketing and creative
- Review and approve all label information and layouts for regulatory compliance and investigate and resolve discrepancies on labeling issues
- Identify opportunities for using claims and other regulations to positively impact business
- Monitor pending regulations within area of responsibility; identifying and communicating impact on business
- Provide guidance to ensure in-store signage complies with government (federal, state and local) regulations and Target labeling standards
- Communicate labeling requirements, processes and procedures to buyers, vendors, brokers, marketing and creative. Assist with training of these groups as appropriate
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in technical regulatory position on consumer packaged goods
- Regulatory expertise and ability to interpret food regulations. USDA experience required
- Understanding of quality assurance in a retail environment
- Strong attention to details, organized, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving skills, and ability to make timely decisions
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel); willing to learn Access
