The North Houston Branch of Automation Personnel Services is looking for highly motivated Mechanics for a client in the Spring, TX area. The ideal candidate must have great communication skills and the ability to work independently. Candidates must live in the greater Houston area. This position may also require some limited travel.
Job Qualification:
The ideal candidate will have at least a minimum of 2 years of experience in auto or diesel repair and maintenance. Candidates must have a wide mix of the following skills.
Pay is $15 - $25/hr DOE
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair to specifications brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment.
Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
Maintain an organized and neat bay.
Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED
At least 2-3 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
Knowledge of machine design and operation
Ability to read and understand measurement gauges
You'll also need a high level of motivation, energy and a customer-focused attitude.
Proficient with Windows based computers and Microsoft Office 2007 or later
DOT Background Required
Drug Screen Required
Valid driver s license is required
