MV Transportation is seeking an Area Vice President who is accountable for leading a multi-unit set of operational locations in the region. He/she will assist the Regional Senior Vice President, guide and lead the daily operation of the service in compliance with the policies of the client agency, company policy and in conformance with company procedures. This position will have responsibility for daily system performance in all functions of operations.
Position is located in the Southeast region of the United States. Relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for all aspects of operations, financial results, people, maintenance and safety for region.
- Insures client expectations and contract requirements are met.
- Plans are generated and overseen for start-up of new contracts.
- Reviews daily, weekly and monthly expectations and reports.
- Coaches and leads general managers of each operating location.
- Sets expectations for safety, financial performance, employee/labor relations and client relations.
- Ensures safety regulations are being observed and all training methods are adequate, up to date and effective.
- Conducts location audits and reviews.
- Location for this role is within the region.
- This is a remote position.
Talent Requirements:
- Must have previous bus/paratransit transportation operations management experience at a senior level such as GM or above - minimum of 10 years.
- Experience in working with local governments or municipalities are key to success in this role.
- Must have excellent financial skills, results orientation, leadership, communication, reporting and interpersonal skills.
- Must have previous multi-unit/division experience.
- Must have union/labor experience. Able to negotiate and handle labor arbitration and contracts.
- Must be able to travel a minimum of 75% within the region.
