CNC Programmer - Full-time / Part-time

generate cnc programs
good knowledge cutting tools selections (when to use what grade of material on what products)
Use different tools for different applications

Manufacture, repair and overhaul various types of systems and components associated with submarine and surface ships. Set-up and operate all types of machining tools, lathes, mills, grinder, saws. Involves heavy lifting, frequent stooping or bending and possible working assignments in overhead structures, confined spaces or beneath machinery. Strict adherence to safety, quality standards, good housekeeping habits, high level of critical thinking/reading comprehension, and overtime are required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ability to set up and manufacture components from stock or modify parts IAW drawing requirements.

Working knowledge of the following: speed and feed rates for machining various metals, characteristics of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and blue print reading.

Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.

Knowledge and practical skills tests required.
