The Magnolia Home Theater [MHT] Sr. Manager owns the overall premium Magnolia brand experience. This role is responsible for executing the financial performance of 20-25 Magnolia Home Theater locations within Best Buy stores. This position will oversee the full operation of each MHT location and establish critical partnerships to achieve positive sales results by:

  • Analyzing, monitoring and reacting to business and market trends,
  • Developing high-end training programs supporting the exclusive Magnolia selling Culture and Premium Customer Experience,
  • Ensuring signage, plan-o-gram, and display functionality meet Magnolia brand standards,
  • Overseeing proper inventory levels in each MHT,
  • Directly managing a P & L portfolio of up to $25-$30M, and while
  • Maintaining the Best Buy brand, instilling the Magnolia company culture.

This position must also establish regular reporting rhythms with Best Buy GMs, District Retail Leadership, and the Director of Magnolia Brand Support. These interactions will deliver insightful business intelligence to not only coach retail leaders, but also provide important "core store" feedback for each MHT sales team.

80% of your time you will travel within retail field. Scheduled work week will be Tuesday thru Saturday:

What are the professional requirements of an Sr. Manager, Market Magnolia?

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, or Equivalent
  • 3 years management experience including Supervision of direct/indirect reports
  • 2 years P&L management/analysis experience (including budget responsibility, merchandising/inventory management)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or above in Business, Management or related field
  • 2 years home theater or specialized product experience
  • 1 year multi-unit management experience with responsibility for financial results (including sales, margin, profitability)
  • Previous experience selling a premium product with a differentiated value proposition
