About this job

A nursing technician on 1E unit acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs basic skills per hospital/unit guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.

This is not a temporary summer position. This is a full-time nights position with the expectation of working 72 hours every two weeks. This is a night shift core schedule and cannot drop down to part-time hours or change shift.

Medical/Surgical (1E - Blodgett)

* 20 Beds

* Population: Post-op thyroidectomies and mastectomies. Respiratory Failure, DKA and Endotool drips, Wound Care, GI Bleeds, Alcohol Withdrawal

Basic Qualifications:

Education - High School Diploma or equivalent

Licenses - Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Education - 1 year college education including clinical experience

Experience - 6 months of recent, relevant patient care experience

Licenses - Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
