Primary Responsibilities:

Work with Captive Channel Regional Sales Directors and Senior Leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities to grow membership with concentration on the FMO Field Management Structure
Forecast membership targets and goals
Anticipate and adjust for problems and/or roadblocks
Accurately scope out the time and resources needed to accomplish sales targets/goals for the FMO channel
Work closely with Agency Managers to achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual operational goals (performance targets, profitability targets and SG&A, etc.) through the development and implementation of strategic and tactical business plans. Take correction action as needed to ensure all targets are met
Plan, prepare, and execute market agent/agency training (national product, new agent orientation, manage local market touch points/distribution centers)
Establish tactical and operational goals that facilitate the company?s strategy implementation for the FMO Channel in conjunction with the Captive Channel Leadership group
Work cooperatively across all Sales Channels to ensure the achievement of the organizational overall goals with a concentration on the FMO overall goal

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred  
3-5 years sales/business development experience in a direct to consumer/retail environment with demonstrated ability to consistently achieve assigned sales/growth targets
3-5 years experience managing individual sales representatives responsible for selling a portfolio of products via a needs/solutions based sales approach, including cross sell, up sell, product migrations
Experience in managing sales management staff
Ability to travel 50% of the time across assigned market(s) or as required
Experience in /Knowledge of the insurance or related field, preferably managed care and/or Medicare
Experience in and/or managing sales agents, leads, marketing resources, etc. across multiple channels (employed, independent/captive, brokers, telesales)
Health and Life Insurance license must be obtained and maintained as required by state law
Knowledge of CMS regulations and standards
**Position must be located in one of our primary UHC/M&R office hub locations (not a telecommuter role).
