We are seeking a Contract Lead Industrial Contract Industrial Engineer lead a group of 6 Contract Industrial Engineers. Our client has a major initiative to analyze the manufacturing process from a timing standpoint all across the company. This location will focus on the Paint and Plastics portion of the automotive product. The over goal of this project is to figure out to reduce time for production with as little defects as possible. These two areas (Paint and Plastics) are the leading areas of wasted time in the manufacturing process for the plant.

Responsibilities:
-Create tasking for Junior Industrial Engineers at the direction our customer's Lead
-Develop presentations based on timing findings from the Junior Engineers to present to management
-Based on findings from Junior Engineers, suggest timing improvements and help implement the procedures
-Create standardized work processes
-Involved in hiring 6 Contract industrial Engineers
-Responsible for developing and organizing individual aspects of the assembly line (Paint Shop/Plastics)
-Active team member in all continuous improvement planning and implementation
-Responsible for supporting all aspects of the floor inclusive of constant communication with operators and supervisors
-Responsible for balance and re-balance of the line
- Responsible for launches and new product introductions withing defined area
-Implement new material handling processes originated by VSP (Virtual Software Patch) requirements
-Implement Process Improvement with ergonimics and efficiency goals
-Design prep area layouts
-Define labor (manpower needs) and equipment needs (type and amount) to maximize efficiency
-Develop visual aides as needed and document general material handling methods
-Work Closely with suppliers, packaging vendors, purchasing and plant personnel to define and implement all above mentioned.

Qualifications:

-Bachelors in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years experience in Manufacturing
-2+ years guiding the tasking for junior engineers
-Stop Watch experience
-Lean Manufacturing knowledge
-Industrial Engineering Background
-Experience working with technical drawings and manufacturing solutions
-Knowledge of productivity improvement tools, methods and line balancing techniques
