CNC Machinist - Full-time / Part-time

We are looking for a few talented and experienced Machinists. We have a full time day and swing Shift M-F position available with opportunity for overtime! Health Benefits, Paid time off and Dental Insurance after probationary period! Starting pay is $18/hr+ DOE!

Machinist duties may include:

• Utilize Mastercam software to edit programs
• Setup and operation of CNC mills, lathes and mill turn machines
• Communicate with management regarding process improvement, fixture design and cutting tool selection
• Preventive machine maintenance
• Edit setup forms with tooling details and work-holding plans
• Edit programs to control the operation sequence and cycling of CNC turning centers
• Correct operational sequences, tooling changes, machine movements and cycle speeds
• Provide input on process decisions, estimating and pricing strategies
• General shop housekeeping

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate maintains the following skills and characteristics:

• 5 years minimum experience with CNC turning equipment
• Proficient using current Mastercam versions for complex precision components in shop environment
• Experience with Hass, Nakamura and Mori Seiki multi axis lathes is preferred
• Experience with precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Experience using editing program SolidWorks
• Solid understanding of Geometric tolerances and high tolerance machining
• Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and oral as well as problem-solving skills
• Complete understanding of machine control management, including mastering of all machine code terminology
• Experience performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding tolerances as tight as +/-.0005
• Ability to communicate application status
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 pound

Supervision: This position has direct supervision. The employee will meet periodically as needed with their supervisor to go over pertinent goals and assignments.

Basic Working Conditions: The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Overtime and work on weekends
