About this job
We are looking for a skilled experienced carpenter to start work immediately at a construction job site in Jersey City, NJ. You must be able to get to Jersey City, NJ for this job. This assignment will last 4 to 6 weeks. Carpenters perform a number of task on construction sites. Some of the task you may be asked to perform include:
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding, etc
- Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials
- Construct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes
- Help put up, level, and install building framework with the aid of large pulleys and cranes
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
- Instruct and direct laborers and other construction trade helpers
- Project punch list
You must be Osha certified and a true carpenter/tradesmen. You will need to submit proof of Osha certification. You must have a hard hat, work boots and a safety vest. You must be available to start immediately. The work week is Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm. The pay for this job is $18.00 per hour.
