Job Description
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Dir. Operating Room provides, leads and directs services, workflow and resources for assigned nursing area.
Responsibilities:
- Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
- Directs clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
- Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares and monitors budget(s) and ensures that assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds. Coordinates and directs internal and externally-driven audits.
- Responsibilities may vary over time. Required to perform other duties as required for the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and job role.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

Required Credential(s):
- Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Bachelor's Level Degree
- Master Degree required and 5+ years Surgery Management experience preferred and The registered nurse must be knowledgeable in current nursing principles and practices which are unit/age specific, as well as managerial and administrative practices. A minimum of three (3) years operating room experience required.
