Staffmark has immediate temporary-to-hire positions as a Break Press Operator in Greenwood, IN.
Here's what you should know about being a Break Press Operator: This individual is responsible for forming bend angles on aerospace components and tubes to very close tolerances using a manual press brake. May perform some trouble-shooting and rework of production items. Must be able to work from complex and detailed blueprints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
What you will be doing as a Break Press Operator:
Bends component and tube parts to company specifications and customer expectations in a manner consistent with the company's quality and productivity standards.
Selects the correct V-Die based on the thickness of the material and the correct punch based on the radius of the bend.
Performs the set-ups for manual form operations per work instructions.
Retrieves programs and set-up auto form operations
Inserts material into machines, manually.
Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects. Tags any non-conforming parts with re-work labels and places in re-work bin.
Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times.
Maintains a clean workstation and cleans-up production areas as required.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, along with a willingness to do what needs to be done (without taking shortcuts), to move to other lines and departments to fill company needs, and to learn and improve own skills.
Follows all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment.
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by Group Leader or any other member of the leadership team
All of these objectives must be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and efficiency.
