Our client is a large health-care insurance provider located in Center City, Philadelphia. Currently, they are seeking an individual with a background in Finance or a related field to join their team as a Cash Applications Analyst. Qualifications:

  • Analytic experience in a Finance related role (An internship is sufficient)
  • Experience hitting necessary deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel is required to be successful in the role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred

Job Description:

  • Correctly execute the tasks and procedures related to the input of premium cash payments into the Receivable Cash (RC) system.
  • Ensure that client account numbers and dollars are entered correctly.
  • Perform required cross-checks to ensure quality and integrity of data entered.
  • Maintain the required throughput and accuracy to maintain minimum goals and standards.
  • Utilize various system interfaces to research payments received in-house or presented via bank imaging tools.
  • Using established procedures, properly identify the client submitting the payment and verify the dollar amounts being paid.
  • Complete the required batch paperwork and prepare the needed adding machine tapes.
  • Perform both the morning balancing of the bank transmission totals, as well as the afternoon balancing of payments and wires entered through the RC system.
  • Clearly identify any balancing issues to the department Lead or Supervisor.
  • Understand the time constraints and deadlines associated with payment research and application and ensure that all daily goals are met.
  • Provide suggestions related to process improvement as appropriate.
