Worlds of Fun is looking for associates 18 years of age and older to be Housekeepers. Worlds of Fun Village offers a full collection of cottages, cabins and fully-equipped RV sites. Essential Job Functions

  • Keeps storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean and tidy. Reports all items needing repair or maintenance to management.
  • Empties wastebaskets, empties and cleans ashtrays, and transports other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Cleans, scrubs, dusts, sweeps, vacuums and mops guest units, including kitchenettes and bathrooms to ensure rooms are ready for check-in. Completes cleaning checklists.
  • Uses established procedures to work appropriately with all cleaning chemicals.
  • Removes and carries linens, towels, toilet items and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts.
  • Washes windows, walls, ceilings and woodwork.
  • Makes up guest beds, bathrooms and organizes linen closets. Replenishes supplies, such as linens and bathroom items.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guests or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outline in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a mandatory or random drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
