Specifically, investment in Information Technology systems is critical to the execution of our strategies. Continued global IT investment requires a world class Program Management Office.

We are currently seeking a Vice President, Program Management Office (PMO) to further build out our processes and capabilities. Based in our Global IT Headquarters in Marlborough, MA and reporting to the Senior Vice President, IT Strategy and Planning, the VP, PMO role oversees the following areas:

Portfolio/Project Management:

The Vice President will develop and oversee the implementation of a standard global IT portfolio and project management process while ensuring appropriate application of project management methodology. They will build and manage a standard, global IT Resource Management process with a focus on productivity and quality of service delivery, operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction. She/he will ensure optimized resource utilization by delivering a standard process that meets the strategic planning and allocation requirements of the organization. They will provide direction on the development of dashboard for tracking and improving IT productivity, effectiveness and customer service levels. The VP ensures that the portfolio is aligned with IT and enterprise-wide strategic goals.

Centers of Excellence:

They will also oversee the design and development of a standard, global approaches to business analysis, development and estimating as well as implementing metrics to measure performance. Once these COE’s are established, they will continually review processes and implement changes as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and oversees the implementation of a standard global IT Project Management process. Manages and directs the Project Standard & Reporting group. Ensures appropriate application of project management methodology. Designs metrics to measure progress and performance. Ensures compliance through the development of audit policies and procedures. Provides direction on the development of an accurate and efficient project status reporting function.
  • Manages the Resource Management area including responsibility for developing, coordination and adoption of Resource Planning practices in IT. Establish systemic controls for Resource Allocation and Reporting including the introduction, adoption and continued improvement of Resource Allocation methodologies. Manages staff performing resource allocation analysis and coordination.
  • Develops and leads the IT Portfolio Management process. Establishes a methodology for analyzing, planning, and tracking all active and proposed projects to optimize the return on IT spend. Ensures portfolio is aligned with IT and enterprise-wide strategic goals.
  • Designs and develops a standard, global business analysis process management methodology. Oversees the implementation. Provides direction on the development of metrics for business analysis performance. Continually reviews business analysis processes and implements changes as needed.
  • Acts as spokesperson and champion of Project and Portfolio Management initiatives. Coordinates the culture change among the leadership and delivery teams. Acts as a Project and Portfolio Management Champion. Participates and consults on IT project teams as a Subject Matter Expert. Effectively balances long-term goals and short-term business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manages staff and develops them for future growth within the department and organization. Coaches staff on performance and professional development issues. Motivates staff to achieve efficiency and productivity. Conducts performance appraisals, interviews and discipline/documentation on as needed. Ensures appropriate training, development and certification

REQUIREMENTS

· 15+ years of IT experience with demonstrated experience building and managing PMO

· 3-5 years of experience leading and/or assisting with the development and/or implementation of a broad array of continuous improvement activities

· At least 5 years of developed team leadership and development experience

· Strong cross-functional leadership skills

· Proven "out of the box" thinking and problem solving skills

· Strong risk management, organization, planning and prioritization skills

· Experience with process definition, process improvement, and strategic planning within a large IT organization

· Experience leading teams, mentoring staff, evaluating performance and providing performance feedback

· Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with various levels of the organization

· Proven strong influencer and networker

· Experience in training and project management

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
