The Manager of Business Analytics will manage the full system life cycle development of BI solutions utilizing Microsoft BI tools and technologies. The Manager is responsible for BI solutions from requirements capture through the design, development, testing, and deployment. The Manager serves as the functional lead between Finance, Operations, and the Information Technology teams, to include C-level executives, and vendors to satisfy complex and evolving reporting requirements.

Descriptive Statement(s) % of Time
Establishes standards, architecture, and designs for Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, and the MS BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI). Partners with Finance, Operations, IT, and other business units to understand and satisfy their reporting and other technology needs. Responsible for data modeling, analysis, ETL, and reporting solutions from inception to decommissioning. 45
Influence, contribute, and provide though leadership to BI solutions within Towne Park. Design and develop all aspects of a traditional business intelligence solution, including databases, ETL, reports, cubes, and dashboards, primarily through use of the MS BI technology stack. Provide guidance to reducing data latency across ETL architecture, building intelligent processes that optimize delivery of actionable information. 20
Provides direction on the scope of projects, scheduling requirements, and resource requirements for financial projects and application maintenance. Collaborates with internal groups to identify and prioritize business needs. Assists in troubleshooting, streamlining, and executing potential and/or current business challenges regarding data and analytical needs 15
Responsible for developing and executing test scripts, plans, and scenarios to ensure quality of deliverables. Oversees change control and quality assurance for all applications and platforms within scope. Contributes to the development and preparation of budgets, policies and procedures. Effectively manage third-party solution and service providers. 15
Oversees end-user training and support related to the all in-scope systems. Maintains relevant industry knowledge regarding BI tools, techniques, product, best practices, processes and trends. Develop structured and ad-hoc reporting solutions based on business needs. 5

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:
N/A
Work Experience:
Minimum of eight (8) years of Microsoft Business Intelligence (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) experience on large projects using an SDLC methodology.
Experience preparing business requirements and management policies and procedures documentation.
Prior experience with implementing off-the-shelf software, preferred.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of data quality, data profiling and data cleansing techniques.
Strong understanding of transact-SQL, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
Expertise in development, analysis, and usage of business and technical requirements towards the development of enterprise reporting solutions.
Strong knowledge of system integration capabilities and constraints.
Working knowledge of financial systems, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains general ledger experience preferred.
Knowledge of business systems (Great Plains, Workday, Unifocus, Concur – or comparable applications) and others that serve as source systems within the Towne Park integrated BI environment.
Strong background in Microsoft SQL Server development with expert transact-SQL skills.
Skills:
Possess project management and leadership skills.
Ability to demonstrate the value of data and relationships as the basis for delivering actionable intelligence to the business.
Expert-level skills in ETL process and relevant tools (SSIS).
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server with data architecture, data integration, queries and reports required.
Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, and manage many projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technology related documents.
Strong communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization.
Excellent written skills, including experience writing comprehensive business and functional requirements, compose professional internal and external business communications including reports, memos, letters, and e-mails.
Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in dealing with matters of significance for the company.
