DoubleTree by Hilton – Breckenridge is seeking an Intermediate Level Engineering Maintenance Tech to join their team. The Engineering Team is responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of the property while delivering excellent service to both guests and employees alike. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic attitude toward service, they’ll be reliable and professional, and possess the maintenance and handy skills necessary to excel.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Maintain all facilities and operation systems to be in a safe and efficient working order, i.e. auto doors, exit doorways, required snow/garbage removal, etc.
• Independently handle repairs including paint, drywall, wall paper, tiles, trim work, and other general maintenance.
• Perform daily rounds to check boilers, pools, common areas, sprinkler systems, fire pump room, fire panels, etc.
• Assist with preventative maintenance in common areas and guest rooms.
• Attend to any work orders and both guest and departmental/employee requests.
• Complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
• Provide for safe disposal of all waste material.
• Independently assess property damages and corrective action plans, especially in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
• Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements or maintenance as directed.
• Maintain records of all work activities and support materials.
• Provide written reports to other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma - required
• 3+ year experience in maintenance - required
• 12 months of commercial building maintenance & operations (sprinkler system, fire pump) - preferred
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record - required
• Basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office - required
• English proficiency - required
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays - required
• Trade School Degree/licenses - preferred
• Bilingual Spanish - preferred
• Must be positive, team player, willing to go above and beyond to ensure the success and safety of the property.
