Growing payroll processing company located near Commack, NY seeks an experienced Payroll/Customer Service Representative.
Qualified applicants will have 2+ years of experience handling payroll/customer service from a PAYROLL PROCESSING COMPANY.
Main functions include but not limited to:
- Process payroll daily and provide customer service support for outside clients in a client service environment
- Handle payroll for over 100 clients
- Provide support to client inquiries on payroll questions, processing procedures and the creation of reports
- Provide assistance on special projects and should be willing to be flexible with hours if needed
Requirements:
- Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Must possess superior customer service skills and be able to work under pressure with strict deadlines
- Must have extensive knowledge of payroll practices and laws in order to properly support payroll clients
- 2-year college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience (from a payroll company)
- Experience using Excel and Word
- Kronos background is a plus, but not required
- CPP certification preferred
Salary commensurate with experience
