Job DescriptionIn 2013, the Allegro Coffee Roasters (ACR) brand was introduced to build a new coffee culture for Whole Foods Market. Through our curated coffee bars and roasteries, we bring uniquely sourced, small-batch roasted coffees to our vibrant local communities — currently located in Brooklyn, Berkeley, Chicago, Boulder and Denver. We plan to run the best coffee roasteries and bars in the country and are looking for the right people to help us do it. So bring your ideas, spirit, and love for coffee to the table, and work with folks who share all of those things and want to do something more than the just the status quo. This Full-time position with provide courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service in all areas of ACR, specializing in the kitchen and spending one or two days a week in the front of store as needed. Setup and maintain attractive displays and perform all duties related to customer service, stocking, and sanitation. Responsibilities * Provide outstanding customer service; ensure customer needs are met in a timely fashion * Operate equipment, stock, and serve products in a variety of areas which may include: preparing sandwiches, making food to order, delivering food to customers, prepping vegetables, mixing and baking off baked goods for case * Prepare, package, weigh, and price prepared foods products for sale * Monitor product quality and freshness and ensure proper rotation or product * Maintain accurate department signage and pricing * Complete product spoilage and temp logs as needed * Follow department procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking of product * Maintain a clean and well organized work area * Follow and comply with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy * Ability to follow directions and established procedures * Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness * Good communication skills * Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes most weekends, early mornings, and some holidays Desired Work Experiences * Team Oriented * Customer Service At Whole Foods Market we provide a fair and equal employment opportunity for all team members and candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability.
